Hello everyone, how are you all? I pray you are well. So right now i am sitting in Justin Kinney's cold computer room (he lives in the basement) in Waterloo Ontario. I find it amazing to actually find myself here, after a wisp of a thought turned into a full-fledged idea, and then quickly became a reality these past two or three months.
I flew in last night on Royal Airlines and everything just went perfectly! Thanks for your thoughts and wishes. Also many thanks to all who gave a hand in getting me here and keeping me alive.
Well, i thought i would be most nervous upon arrival at Toronto's humongous airport, or even in flight, but it seems that i am most afraid right now. i am killing time until i will finally meet the man i have come here to see, Cliff Snyder. For those of you who do not know, Cliff was in my favourite 'hard' rock band Astrokick, whom have since split up, if i am not mistaken. (you can still go to their website and most likely buy their album "23 Logic Magic Chaos" here )
Anyway, the plan is for us to get together, Cliff and i, and jam out some of my tunes into some recording equipment (the same stuff used to record the Astrokick album, as i gather..). i have no idea how this is going to work out, or how much we can actually get done, and really i don't know what to expect at all, which is oddly not at all like the plane experience yesterday evening. my belly is inside of itself, but i am 'thrilled to the gills' (trying to keep with my east coast heritage here in Ontario:) to be here and to be having this adventure. For the next hour and a half or so, before Cliff gets here, i think i will go over some of my songs and try to decide where i stand in all of this excitement. Justin lives with 4 other guys (maybe 3..) and i hope i do not drive them into a rage with my acoustic guitar and vocal stylings.... :)
oh, and for a little bit of trivial information, i just listened to the Wide Mouth Mason album 'Where I Started' and i liked it very much. WMM are one of my very favourite Canadian bands, so check them out if you like. (word up, Graham!!)
anyway, guys and girls, friends, keep the peace and love each other, etc.
